Today we went to see the oldest living thing in Europe, and possibly the world. An Ancient Yew tree nestling in the corner of a church in Fortingall. It's protected by lows walls and and an iron enclosure, so trying to capture an image was really difficult. I came home and was so disappointed as I began to load up the images, I really was hoping the Old Yew would talk to me through a photograph. I began to zoom in to areas of the yew and to my astonishment this image jumped out at me.....Maybe it's just me, but I can see and old face...two eyes and a nose with a mouth the shape of a heart! Even if you can't see the old face you can certainly see the heart of this Yew. I hope you love it as much as I do....
