Location
This photo was taken at Victoria Beach in Laguna Beach, California.Time
It was taken in the afternoon.Lighting
Being at the beach each visit can be different when it comes to lighting. This day it happened to be a bright sunny day.Equipment
I always use a polarizing filter while taking photos at the beach. And yes, I did use a tripod on this shot. The camera lens was a Nikon 28-300mmInspiration
There is something mystical and enchanting about this tower that was built in 1926. I love setting on the beach wondering what life must have been like so many year ago. I love taking photos at different times of the year due to the high and low tides. Each visit is unique in itself.Editing
Yes, I did do post processing by turning this photo into a black and white photo. I wanted to give it a unique and different feel.In my camera bag
This usually depends on where I will be photographing. Normally a polarizing filter, cleaning supplies for the camera and usually another type of lens. In the event I wan to shoot wide angle or macro.Feedback
The most important thing to check when shooting at the beach is the weather. The marine layer can roll in extremely quick. I then check for the tide. To see specifically when it will be high and low tide. But most of all, make the best out of what mother nature hands your way!
