Behind The Lens

Location
This image was taken right after the couple was married on her parents ranch in Colorado.
Time
It was taken late in the afternoon, around 4pm
Lighting
Normally I use an off camera flash with an umbrella, but I was too far away - on the other side of the pond - for the flash to do anything, so this is natural light.
Equipment
I used the Nikon D300s with a 18-200 VR lens.
Inspiration
I love love love reflections and this bridge was just amazing with the beautiful grasses growing all around the pond. It was just a perfect setting. The bride also loved this spot and used to play here when growing up, so that made it extra special.
Editing
I used the tools in photoshop to heighten the contrast and burned around the edges. Did some color correcting and added a little more yellow to the grasses.
In my camera bag
The Nikon D300s, the Nikon 18-200VR lens, a 17-50 lens, a 50mm lens, and a 90 mm lens, two Nikon SB800 speedlights, Photix Odin transmitter and receivers, and an umbrella with stand.
Feedback
Make sure to use the lighting to your advantage. If the sun is up in the sky, try to put it behind the people. I didn't include any sky in this image because it was still fairly bright and would have been blown out. If you're using a body of water to capture a reflection, you are probably going to be pretty far from them, so use a long lens.
