Location
I took this picture on the peak of my home mountain "Koralpe", located in Carinthia (Austria). Very icy and windy conditions, didn't made it very easy to took this photo.Time
The shot was made in the early morning hours, shortly after sunrise. I had to get up very early to be on top at the right time. But it payed off to see such a beautiful sunrise :-)Lighting
I think the morning hours show the most beautifl lighting conditions.Equipment
I used my old Pentax K-5II and Tripod. For me it is always very important to have a very robust Camera, which can deal also with such cold Temperatures, ice and snow.Inspiration
I made a very similiar shot a year ago from a friend of mine, but the shot had some details which i didn't like. But it already gave me an idea how it could look like. So i decided to shoot a selfie, which needed some tries to find the right settings and timing.Editing
i made some little post processing in Lightroom. More sharpness, and intensified the colours a little bit more. Oh yes, and a hint of vignette. In my camera bag
Nowadays i am using a Sony A 7. It is small, light and waterproff and a full frame cam. The rest depents on the motives i want to shoot. For Landscape Pictures i only have a cheap Tamron SP AF DI 17-35 mm and of course the Adapter LA-EA4 from sony, to use also non Sony Objectives.Feedback
As i am a newbie to Photographing i can only say shoot shoot shoot, and keep the best shots. Sometimes i shoot 30 Photos and keep only one or two shots, because the other shots aren't worth to keep it. The more you shoot, the better you will become. You get used to your gear and develop a feeling for the right POV.
