Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo on Mt. Mittagskogel (2145m) in southern Austria. One of the highest peaks in that region.

Time

I took this photo at about 6am after a hike through the darkness. As the sun came out, it was wonderful to feel the first warm light on my skin.

Lighting

I wanted this image look soft and warm so I pushed the white balance a little bit in the warmer direction. The sun did the rest.

Equipment

I used a Sony SLT-A99 with an attached Sigma 20mm 1.8 To not overexpose the sky, I've used a Lee 0.6 softgrad ND filter.

Inspiration

The inspiration comes from our beautiful planet earth. I'm really happy to be able to get to this amazing places.

Editing

Yes for sure. I pushed the contrast and the colors to get this wonderful mood in the scene.

In my camera bag

My equipment is changing all the time. This time I carry a Tripod, the camera itself, 2 lenses, an external trigger and a punch of filters.
