This is my first try at photographing water in action, kinda really liked it :)

Behind The Lens

Location

The photo was taken at Wallace State Park in Missouri. My family and I are big fans of the nature and beauty in State Parks and we like to visit often. I love to dabble in photography so I always carry my camera along.

Time

This particular picture was taken on a brisk fall day. My husband, kids and myself have wonderful times taking in the sights on the ever changing trails at our local state parks.

Lighting

The lighting on this day was just perfect for capturing the vivid colors in the fall leaves. The light was breaking through the trees so lovely on this day then we found this tree that had fallen and the background of the bright colors behind it were just perfect.

Equipment

I am quite attached to my Canon T3 Rebel that my husband got me for my birthday several years back, as far as possesions go it has to be among one of my favorite things.

Inspiration

My inspiration for this photo was the awe inspiring colors and my fasicination of the the beauty created in our world. Often times we don't step back and look...really look at the beauty that surrounds us on a daily Basis. Our Creator has such an imagination!

Editing

I did do a little post processing. I cropped the picture to bring out the main focus of the fallen tree and I softened the edges.

In my camera bag

As far as equipment goes, my only piece of equipment is my camera. One day I hope to expand but you buy as you can.

Feedback

My main advice for others trying to capture a fantastic shot in scenery would be to always keep your eyes open and of course to always have your camera handy.
