Wow, a rare moment indeed. Was it patience or luck? I would think, to get just that composition was patience but to get such a rare backlit scene had to be some luck involved. Great shot.

I will agree with other comments regarding patience, timing, and even luck...but let's add skill to that. You obviously know your equipment and all of its capabilities to have captured this. I have a free account so I can only give one award so I chose "Absolute Masterpiece" but I might have to upgrade my account just to give this more awards. LOVE IT!
