Behind The Lens

Location

I took this image in the neighborhood of my hometown Hafnarfjordur in Iceland.

Time

At 15:18 in the afternoon.

Lighting

There was a great light that day - a good warm light from the sun.

Equipment

Canon EOS 5D camera and Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L USM lens.

Inspiration

My love for horses. I often go out to take photos of horses and on that particular day the light and wind was very encouraging.

Editing

I mostly worked with levels and curves, increased the contrast and cropped slightly.

In my camera bag

This image is taken a few years ago but today this equipment is in my bag: Canon EOS 5D Mark III and Canon Sl1 cameras, Canon EF 16-35mm f/2.8L USM II, Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L USM and Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM II lenses. Canon Extender EF 2x II.

Feedback

Always communicate with horses with respect and in a friendly way. I find it also very helpful to talk to the horses when photographing them.
