To capture the energy of the race with my own unique prospectiveEditing
Actually very little; just a little contrast adjustment to help give the image more detail. In my camera bag
I often go with a pair of D700's one with a 24-70 2.8 and the other with a 70-200 2.8 & 1 high quality telex converter. Several SB-800's and Pocket Wizard TT-5's Tripod and a pair of Manfroto light stands. For this shoot just the cameras.Feedback
Safety is first. This type of image capture can be quite dangerous and very dusty. I never change lenses when out to any race event. You will also be in for a rather lengthy cleaning of your gear after a race. This type of photography isn't everyones cup of tea.
