This photo was taken in Nashville TN. It was for a school project where we needed to recreate a movie into a photo series of 3-5 images.Time
This was taken early in the morning. After much procrastination on what I was going to do and battling rain the whole weekend Monday morning it cleared up and we got it shot. It rained the last hour we shot but by opening up my aperture and being under trees you couldn't tell.Lighting
I would have rather of shot it during the golden hour but the soft morning light worked out great. I could have brought my studio lights with me but with the rain and the amount of gear I would have to lug into the woods I went all natural.Equipment

I wanted to recreate a scene that you would be recognizable but not something you would just skip over. We had Alex which is the huge white dog, and people would always ask if he was mixed with wolf. So one night trying to fall asleep it came to me and I sketched out a few ideas.Editing
Very lightly. I was in school for photojournalism and at the time was doing retouching for a very high end fashion and lingerie company. So for my work I would do blemishes for retouching. Then some light color work to balance tones.In my camera bag
Now a days I try to keep it simple, but now that I'm thinking about it, it's still a lot. I usually have my backpack with a Nikon d4, 35, 50, and 85 1.4 lenses. A 45 tilt shift and a 70-200. I usually have my film bag too which has a Nikon f100, a mamiya 6x7 and a 4x5.Feedback
Find what inspires you. It'you can be hard but don't look at other work for inspiration. You'll end up copying someone else and more times than not it won't be as good. So get your inspiration, pre visualize it, sketch out ideas, take a day or two away and go back to it. Is there anything else you can add to it or do to make it what you want it to be
