Just before noon. Not exactly prime time for great outdoor photography. But the sky was totally overcast, as one would expect in western PA in December.Lighting

This photo was purely spontaneous and not at all what my intended subject was. I was intentionally driving in Amish country, but not for the purpose of photographing any obvious features of Amish culture. I was looking for a telephone booth I remembered from my youth. As you might guess just from what you can see of the neighborhood in the photo, you might not expect to find a traditional phone booth around here. I never did find the phone booth; the consensus of folks in the area is that cell phones have displaced the need for pay phones.Editing
I don't actually recall, suggesting if there was any, it was very minor. Probably just to remove various spots, the result of taking this shot through the windshield of my car.In my camera bag
My Tamron 18-270 has pretty much replaced all three of the lenses I previously used. Since I shoot almost exclusively outdoors, a circular polarizing filter is just always left on my lens. Given my affinity for waterfalls, neutral density filters are often useful for doing longer exposures to get the "fuzzy" water effect.Feedback
First, you need a snowy country road. Then you need a vehicle traveling in front of you on that road. And I would very strongly advise you to have someone else driving your vehicle. This photo was taken from the front seat, through the windshield. How's that for breaking basic rules of photography?
