I was looking for a bright, even background to set off the couple in a silhouette and Lake McDonald provided it. I metered to the water which rendered the couple black (which I wanted).Equipment

The mom-to-be sent me a wishlist of shots and one was a silhouette. I was immediately looking for a place to get this shot as soon as we arrived at the location.Editing

Look for a clean background that is significantly lighter than the foreground, meter to the background, shoot. :)
