Behind The Lens

Location
This photo was taken at a boat launch in Ocean Springs, MS.
Time
I set up my camera right before dark in order to catch the moon and decided to practice with long exposure settings while I was waiting.
Lighting
The only lighting was from the lights on the pier, which worked perfectly.
Equipment
I used my Canon Rebel Xsi and a tripod.
Inspiration
I have seen other images taken by a local photographer and wanted to try to achieve the same quality.
Editing
I performed very minor post-processing, which included removing a few dust specks from the image.
In my camera bag
I normally carry my external flash, Canon 50mm prime lense, Canon 100-300mm zoom lense as well as extra batteries and a few standard filters.
Feedback
This image was easier too capture than you would think. I simply set my camera for a long exposure and had my son sit still for about 8 seconds before having him get up and walk out of the frame.
