A wide view of the glowing hoodoos at sunrise in Bryce Canyon National Park, Utah. The moment just after the sun rises above the plateaus at Bryce is perfect, because color is retained in the sky while the light gives the hoodoos their characteristic 'glow'. The colors in Bryce are pretty amazing - vibrant shades of red, yellow, orange, and even pink. Morning and afternoon sun is the best to bring these colors out and give good contrast.

I took this shot from Sunset Point, and shared the area with several other photographers. We could all see Sunrise Point off in the distance, which was completely covered with tripods, even extending down the trail into the canyon. Next time I'm in the park I think I'll try the sunrise from Inspiration Point!
