This was taken mid day at a Welcome Home From Vietnam Party. It took quite bit to just get the one shot since they were flying over head.

Location

This was taken outside a house that was celebrating a Vietnam veteran who had never been thanked for his service. The airport was near by and I took the photo as the planes flew over.

Time

It was about 11:45 in the morning.

Lighting

I wasn't sure I could get the airplane but enjoy capturing birds as they fly so took a chance to get a good shot and it worked.

Equipment

No tripod just the camera with a Nikon lens that went to 300 mm. Took several pictures and they turned out light but with a few adjustments was able to bring in the color.

Inspiration

Wanted to get pictures that would be a reminder to the Vet of the celebration that took place. The Calvary Riders had come out to do an official "Welcome Home" celebration.

Editing

I did adjust the balance of the contrast and white balance.

In my camera bag

Camera and long distance lens and a short distance lens.
