This is an image captured on a sunny winter day in Olympiapark ( München, DE). When I got up to the observation deck of Olympiaturm, I looked down and got "wow"ed. The winter green and the shadows cast over the lake created this kind of "aerial" image.

This is an image captured on a sunny winter day in Olympiapark in Munich, Germany.Time
The image was shot on the sunny afternoon of December 27, 2013. I was visiting good friends in Germany when they came up with this inspired idea to go visit Olympiapark in Munich. I didn't expect the view would be so rewarding. :-)Lighting
As I’ve always been intrigued and fascinated by the playful "conspiracy" of light and shadow, I got really happy and grateful at the chance to shoot their "plot" on such a beautiful winter day.Equipment
This image was shot on a Canon EOS 550D at a 110 mm focal length ( f/8.0, 1/250, ISO 200 ). No flash or tripod have been used, just a polarizing filter on the 75 -300 mm lens.Inspiration
As I got up to the observation deck of Olympiaturm, I looked down and got "wow"ed. I didn't hesitate much as in my mind the lake, the trees and their long shadows, the interaction beetween people and birds on the lake created for me this kind of urban poetry and aerial image.Editing
There is not much post-processing work done on the image, just the basic edits. ( contrast, shadows, vibrance )In my camera bag
Along the body of my Canon camera, I always have with me the 75-300 mm lens and a 50 mm f/1.4 prime lens which I enjoy experiencing with. There is not much gear a carry around as I like to travel light. :-) But what’s certain is that I always bring along within me all the books, the music and films I experienced over the years plus the love and trust of people close to me. ;-)Feedback
My thoughts for anyone who is passionate about photography is to follow their instinct, dream with a mind wide open and enjoy every moment captured on camera as well as in their hearts. Just be! ;-)
