Read the description and try to guess where this shot was taken: Lakes, birds and salt lake.

A beach? An island? Nothing of the sort. This is a description of the driest desert on Earth.

You might ask: but desert isn't just sand and stuff?
Not if you're at Atacama's desert.

The salty waters of Laguna Chaxa (located at Atacama's Salt Flat) flows through subterranean waterways from the Andes mountains and forms this lake, natural habitat to microorganisms similar to shrimps and it's beautiful predators: the flamingoes.
