Location
Usually, when I'm taking self portraits, it happens at my home, which is exactly where I took this one. It just makes me comfortable. The environment is the most intimate, so I can open up the best there.Time
I can't recall the exact time, but I guarantee it was at night. That's the time when everybody else is sleeping and I can stay alone with my camera and me. Weird thing, I don't do self portrait nights anymore.Lighting
Lighting, yeah, as funny as it sounds, I used the most regular lamp anyone could own, but it did a pretty decent job.Equipment
Well, at the time this photo was taken I didn't own no equipment at all. I'm pretty sure my tripod was a bookshelf or a desk. The camera - just a Sony DSC-T100, so nothing fancy at all.Inspiration
Probably my age. And the night. When I was 16, I used to do a lot of photography at night. Also I used to daydream a lot, and that usually gave me ideas for photos.Editing
As I was working with the not-so-good Sony DSC-T100, I just had to do some post-processing. Actually, if it weren't for this camera, I probably wouldn't learn how to use Adobe at all. As for this photo in particular, I have a hard time to remember, what I did with it.In my camera bag
I still don't own a decent camera, but is a phone an option? But currently, as I'm not a professional, and I'm not pursuing that path, I'm looking forward to buying a Canon 750D, as I also wish to do some film making as a hobby. We'll see where this roller coaster will take me. (:Feedback
Whether your passion is taking photos of people, food, animals, nature or anything else, as long as it's a passion, you can do it, no matter what equipment you're working with. Just don't give up!
