A composite image of 43 exposures taken over an 11 minute period in Johannesburg South Africa. This is evidence of the ferocity and intensity of summer thunderstorms in the Highveld region. All the lightning bolts are real. When you enlarge the photo, you'll find it very difficult to find a spot where the lightning did not reach. Also of importance to note is that this took place in a residential area so there must have been a lot of appliance damage.
