In 2010, I decided to go to the southwest in the winter. The weather didn't help, I was in a storm all day the day before. And Basically missed out on most of the sight seeing. In addition, my windshield cracked. Most of the trail was covered in 1 foot of snow. Luckily someone had ventured out there a few hrs before us and there fore left tracks for us follow. It was slippery up in the arch. Warning sign of snow and ice mean easy slip to your grave. I didn't venture very far because of this. Wanted to get closer and get a different shot of this, but just didn't want to risk it. I even stepped in a 1 foot deep puddle of ice water, the ice on top cracked and I fell in. I had to get in a new pair of socks and stuff some heat packs in my wet frozen shoes to make it back to the car. My pants (the part that was wet) was completely hard and frozen. Luckily I got back to the car and still have my foot. It was good stuff. I manage to get this shot off somehow.
