This photo was shoot in Torun, Poland. That is the bridge near the centre of the city.Time
The most interesting details of that bridge can be shoot at night. I personally prefer taking photos at night with long exposures.Lighting
Not much to add about the lighting. I used only ambient light and long exposures.Equipment
I used my primary digital camera Nikon D800 + Nikkor 24-70 f2.8. I use Manfrotto 055XPROB Pro tripod.Inspiration
It was a cold and silent night. I was planning to get the pictures of that bridge for a longer time and that night seamed to be perfect. Moreover it was the last week before the lighting of that bridge was changed... to worse in my opinion but I plan to return there to verify that. I wanted to capture movement in the industrial-like environment.Editing
Yes, RAW photo from camera needs to be "developed" digitally. In most cases I use Photoshop + Nik Collection filter set. For B&W photo I use Silver Efex Pro and really like it for B&W photography. In my camera bag
Depending on the type of project I have more or less equipment with me. Basic set is Nikon D800 + Nikkor 24-70 f2.8 + whole bunch of filters to extend exposure time / polarize.Feedback
Take your camera and tripod and go out. Practice composition and learn night photography... Know your equipment and take it to the limits. Search for the proper places and plan you work.
