Behind The Lens

Location
I took this shot of tulips at sunrise in Southeast Wisconsin.
Time
This was at the break of dawn.
Lighting
I always enjoy the challenge of natural objects being back lit.
Equipment
I use a Canon 7d with a 10-22mm lens.
Inspiration
A beautiful sky and colorful springtime landscape always inspires me.
Editing
I shoot the series Horizons in hdr taking multiple bracketed images to compress in Photoshop. Then it is the basics of color balnce and some dodging and burning to bring out the natural color.
In my camera bag
I travel lightly but always have an extra memory card and battery.
Feedback
When you think you are done shooting any particular scene always stop and take a few more. You can always delete later. I find some of my best shots were taken after I thought I was done.
