The strawberry poison frog is a charismatic little frog that lives in the lowland rainforests of Central America. Males constantly stop what they are doing to make their pleasant buzzing call. The call is used to attract females for breeding. There are many variations of the strawberry poison frog, in particular on the small islands off the coast of Panama. Sometimes color variants are mistakenly described as different species.
