I saw this scene downtown and really enjoyed how the building closed off the street in the rear and how the light was falling on it. After a few snaps I walked away feeling that the image wasn't strong enough.

Walking up the block to the left I noticed the gent on the bike. He was stopped and talking to someone. He was wearing a white sweater and it matched the luminosity or brightness of the building at the end of the street. I did an about face and waited at the cross walk for him to start his trip again, stepped out and got the shot.

Waiting for a composition to complete in a busy city requires strong situational awareness.
