Beautiful detail - another one you could add to the "All about London" project :)

Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo in London, UK. This is the Westminster Palace - Big Ben and Westminster Bridge.

Time

It was around two o'clock in the afternoon when I took this picture.

Lighting

No special lighting used on this photo. It was very cloudy so I just left the camera on automatic settings.

Equipment

I used my Nikon D5300 and Nikkor 55-300mm lens, no tripod.

Inspiration

I love historical buildings and this is definitely one of them. When I am in London, I never miss the opportunity to take some photo's of it.

Editing

Originally the photo is in colour, but I changed it to black and white and give it contrast, so is interesting and the details are extenuated.

In my camera bag

I always have my full camera kit with me, lenses, extra memory card and extra battery.

Feedback

On this occassion I did not have my tripod with me but I was lucky because there was a wall which supported my hands and camera. Try different settings on your camera for each shot, and take as many photos as you like so that you can pick the best one.
