I took this image in India, Bandhavgarh national parkTime
This was an early jeep drive, 05:30Lighting
The lighting was very bright for that time of morning, but the forest was very dark, so I was very lucky this Tiger came from hiding in the forest.Equipment
I was using a Canon 40D, with a Canon 300mm F2.8 L IS lens handheld.Inspiration
It has always been a boyhood dream to see Tigers in the wild. So when i saw the tiger moving from behind the tree, I knew i wanted this image.Editing
I only lighten the image slightly, and cloned out a few bits of grass...In my camera bag
Well since the India trip, i have got myself some newer gear. I now use a Canon 7d (waiting for the 7d MKII) and a Canon 5D MKIII lens is a Canon 500mm (prime) Canon 70-200mm F2.8 L IS /24-105mmFeedback
The only advice i can give is stay alert when out, don't fiddle with camera settings, keep an eye on your subject at all times. look for that one off image...
