Once again, thanks everyone for your support and kind comments.
To answer some of the questions:
The photo was taken in the Masai Mara Triangle in Kenya, with a Sony A900 and a 70-200 f/2.8 at 85mm f/7.1. Knowing Cheetahs' life style we could slightly anticipate were they would go to get a nice viewpoint to spot some food to hunt.
The color version has less punch but you can see it on my Flickr pages http://www.flickr.com/photos/nomadcom/5094631539/sizes/l/

As you can see on the photo, the cheetah is jumping on a tree and get its back exposed to the sun.Equipment
Sony A-900 70-200 f/2.8 @ 75mm 1/250th f/7.1Inspiration
We anticipated the arrival of few cheetahs to this location as it offered a vantage viewpoint to spot preys. Then we had the chance to be at the right place at the right moment.Editing
Turned it black and white as the colors were too disruptiveIn my camera bag
Lately I'm using 2 mirrorless cameras Sony A7 and Sony Nex-7 with a 28-70 lens, an old Minolta 70-210 f/4and a Sony/Zeiss 24mm f/1.8 prime lensFeedback
Go on safari with photographers and not with tourists who want to see as much wildlife as possible everyday. Photographers normally do not mind to stay long hours at the same place waiting for some action to take place. If you can afford it have your own vehicle and guide and take time to share with your guide what you wish to see/photograph. Be patient but always ready to get surprised.
