This is my cat when she was a young kitty. She's so gorgeous.

Was digging through some 2010 photos and decided to upload this one

So about this picture, I had the person be a boy and a girl and thus this picture was made.

I took this picture of my cat while she was so curious of the outside world.

Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken at my parent's house when I had attended college back in 2010. Photography was something that I always loved doing even as a kid. My father was my inspiration, he would use a polaroid camera when I was growing up to capture moments and that's how I fell in love with photography.

Time

I believe this was taken during the nighttime when my family was asleep. My sister and I used to stay up and this was a spontaneous moment to do something fun.

Lighting

At the time, I did not have any professional lighting. I used the flash on my camera, which was pretty much my only lighting.

Equipment

The equipment I used was a Canon EOS Rebel XS Black EF-S 18-55mm, it was the first DSLR that I had ever owned.

Inspiration

My inspiration for this photo was my sister who is actually the person in the photo. When we were growing up, we were bullied and she was self-conscious about her weight. I have always seen my sister as beautiful and decided to make a sign that says "No matter my size and I am beautiful in my own way!" It's true, every human being is beautiful in their own way.

Editing

When I first started doing photography, I did not own a computer or a program. I had to borrow a computer and I would edit on PicMonkey. The only edit I did was just use the effect black and white.

In my camera bag

In my equipment bag, I carry a Canon EOS Rebel T6 EF-S 18-55mm and 75-300mm. I also carry USBs, a USB converter, charger, and cleaning equipment for the camera.

Feedback

My advice, do spontaneous photoshoots, I've learned that by being spontaneous in photography you can capture the best photos. Mental health is also a serious thing but if you or someone are in the moment of being in emotions, capture it. Of course with their consent.
