I took this Photo in Napa Valley California May of 2014, I was so afraid to go up in a balloon, but so amazed at the experience. The ride was calm and gentle.Time
This was Very early in the Morning, We had gotten up before the light of day and driven to the meeting place and then gotten on a bus to go to the Launch site. The time was somewhere around 7 30 am when we got in the basket!Lighting
The light was just coming up from behind the hills. I was hoping for an amazing sun rise, but it was a gentle light that softly lit the balloons and Grape vinesEquipment
I was using my Nikon D800 No Flash and Nikon LensInspiration
i am always inspired to take a photo! I am shooting all the time. For this shot I was looking at the Massive Flame going on inside the balloon, and thinking I hope that nothing catches fire.Editing
Yes, I did some post processing, I am sure that I used an HDR filter on this one.In my camera bag
I pack light in my bag, There is always memory cards, a Flash and always a spare lens of a different focal length. Cleaning cloths and batteries. My Nikon has always been my best friend and as long as I am shooting I am HappyFeedback
Just keep shooting and looking at what you shot while you are still there, in case you want to change a setting and shoot some more,,, Digital is the best because you do not have limitations on how many shots that you take, shoot until you are satisfied, and then shoot some more
