Love the simplicity of this shot and the captured departing seed. Congratulations on the "Feature".

I feel like I'm holding my breath waiting for that seed to fly away. Great image!

Location
This photo was taken in my garden chilling out and just having a general camera mess about.Time
It was late afternoon.Lighting
I was concentrating on getting the shot as the pieces flew away, as the mid afternoon light was good I had nothing to worry about especially with the helpful backdrop.Equipment
Nikon D300s with a 28-200 lens. Because the light was good I was able to hand hold the camera.Inspiration
I'd been playing about with florals but its a very staged process and while this shot is staged the movement made it more of an interest for me.Editing
Simple answer is no, it's all about the timing. I generally try to avoid post processingIn my camera bag
My equipment has evolved over the last few years depending on my subject. My 28-200 was a staple but so are my 105 and my 400mm so the bag can get quite heavy!Feedback
It's not really an opportunistic shot so something like this requires patience and don't try it in terrible light, you'll be wasting your time trying to post process the clarity you get with good light.
