Behind The Lens

Location

This shot was taken in Paleokastritsa in Corfu, Greece. The day before had been very stormy and the last remnants of cloud were slowly dying away as the evening drew on. The light was amazing.

Time

Seems obvious to say sunset, but we were down on the beach for a good hour before, just waiting for the right time for this shot.

Lighting

Mother Nature doing her bit, i just tweaked some settings to help her along. :)

Equipment

Canon EOS 1100D, Tamron 75-300mm.

Inspiration

The light was fabulous and it had to be taken.

Editing

Not really, just very slight tweaks as it was shot raw.

In my camera bag

I only have 3 lenses. Kit 18-55, Zoom 75-300, and a Prime 50mm. I would love to have a longer zoom and a wide angle.

Feedback

Sunsets happen everyday. Some are better than others but they are regular as clockwork and predictable. The thing with sunsets is, the lower they go, the better the light gets. Sometimes the best light for a sunset is after the sun is over the horizon and no longer visible. Be patient. Everyone has at least one good sunset shot in them.
