Behind The Lens

Location

Taken at a 1940's event, Bobington Airport, near Dudley, West Midlands, UK

Time

Late afternoon.

Lighting

Overcast natural lighting (subject in the shade).

Equipment

Nikon F4, 16mm f2.8 Fisheye Lens - Kodak 200 ASA Film. Negative later scanned with Nikon Cool-scan.

Inspiration

I love portraits taken with extreme wide angle lenses and they don't come much wider the the 16mm Fisheye.

Editing

Captured Full Frame, no cropping. Scanned colour neg and converted to monochrome.

Digital Bag: Nikon D3 Nikkor14-24mm f2.8 G Film Bag Nikon F3/ F4 or F5 Nikkor 28-70mm f2.8 AF/D

When capturing extreme wide angle portraits it's important not to tilt the lens.
