Angel After Earth Mission

According to angel lore, when an angel descends to Earth, it is pristine in nature, filled with the wondrous colors of the astral light. After a long stay on Earth, they accumulate the negative feelings and filth of the human world, thus making them ugly in appearance. After their mission is completed, they return to their home and are cleaned, refreshed, and returned to their original state. The Earth mission is considered a "dirty job" and many angels refuse to take it on. However, great merit ensues from volunteering for Earth duty.
