Location
For this one, you might think that location didn't matter at all. It's just her face, right? But it's more than that. The mood of the model is affected by her surroundings, and my own creativity gets boosted if I am in a creative enviroment. This was taken on a bridge in a park outside my home. It was a chilly day, so no one was outside and we could play all we wantedTime
It wasnt that late as it normally is in the summertime when I am out shooting. It was midday. No rim lighting, no sunflare, just her and her talent.Lighting
Making her hair shine by having the light shine through the back is always a good idea for a portrait. I personally love this style. Normally, in a studio, you would have a backlight as well, just to do a slight rim lighting on the subject.Equipment
I used my Canon 6D, my 85mm 1.8 lens, and nothing else. This is how I operate best.Inspiration
This girl was interesting. While she had a sign of worry, her face was at the same time very intense and focused. I wanted her to look like she was scouting for something over her shoulder, or just looking for an answer.Editing
For this one I did little besides just cleaning up. Red in the shadows, pulled down the whites a bit. Nothing major, the image was quite ready from the start.In my camera bag

Imagine what world this person would live in, if she was the main person of a story. This often helps me to get creative and feel the person more and make a bigger statement to the viewer!
