I named Luna after the moon because when she was a puppy on her first few nights-she cried in her training crate until I finally gave in and let her sleep in my bed. I looked out the window and there was a full moon so it seemed like a perfect fit. Now she is 13 and all wise and knowing under her namesake-Luna.
