Location
The photo was taken in Glacier Bay from the cruise ship as we slowly circled the bay.Time
This image became one of my better images. We were on the deck of our cruise ship I seem to remember that it was in the morning and it was a beautiful morning and we spent quite awhile just drifting around the bay so not sure of the exact time I took this shot.Lighting
It was natural light where I was fortunate to have a clear sunny morning with the light up in the mountains and the distant glacier standing out nice and bright against a more subdued foreground of the glacier faceEquipment
This image was taken with a Olympus SP-51OUZ. My first digital camera!Inspiration
I was looking for a way to capture the magnificance of the might and power of the mountains and the glacier as we have nothing like this in Australia and I thought that the glacier provided a great way to lead the viewer into the mountains and the colors of the blues and whites seemed really complimentary.Editing
Not a lot of post processing a little color adjustments as a this time I was just starting out on my digital adventure. In my camera bag
These day I will usually pack my D3200, D5500 with the following lens. Tamron 150-600mm, Nikkor 70-200mm, Nikkor 18-55mm and a Tokina 12-24mm Lens. I sometimes pack my extension tubes and have both a tripod and monopod in the car. Additionally I have a filter pack, lens cleaners spare batteries and a torch in my bag.Feedback
Well if your on a cruise as we were it becomes difficult to decide on the best time to be on location and so if you are lucky you can have some really nice weather conditions but being in such a location weather can change quite quickly so if the light is good take advantage of it before it changes.
