Fabulolus detailed shot & looks great in mono. As this appears to have been taken at night, how long was the exposure? Congratulations on being featured.

Location
Glastonbury, Somerset, South west England. Abbey ruins.Time
Morning around 11.30amLighting
The light was strong on a cloudless winter morning. It created high contrast and long shadows, excellent for bringing out textures and creating dramatic atmosphere , especially in black & white.Equipment
Fuji digital EXR 20. Used a light weight tripod and remote.Inspiration
I love gothic architecture. This ancient ruin has a great story. Built on the isle of Avalon at the center of Glastonbury it is the burial site of King Arthur and Guinevere. The Abbey has a magic atmosphere, a great place to meditate and loose yourself, as you listen for the sound of ancient footsteps.Editing
The sky was replaced for an evening shot, using photo shop. Contrast turned high, and changed from color. In my camera bag
Canon Digital SLR, plus fuji exr20 . Telephoto lens, small tripod and remote. Lots of filters.Feedback
Framing is important when shooting large buildings. Perspective and depth of field. Ruins are a great subject to photograph, they provide a challenge from every angle . Look out for dark areas and shadows they can steal important detail, ( sometimes this can be fixed in post edit.)
