Congratulations. Beautiful shot. I saw many bee eaters, but never a green one. Very colorful.

Behind The Lens

Location
Yala National Park in Sri Lanka
Time
Late afternoon
Lighting
Out in the open in very bright light, the polariser helped.
Equipment
Canon 70D, Sigma 150-500mm.
Inspiration
These Green Bee Eater's followed us around during a safari and landed close by each time we stopped, sometimes too close to allow me to get focus at the minimum distance with the 150mm. I took over 200 photos of them in two hours.
Editing
Nothing major
In my camera bag
I usually go with everything i might need. Canon 70D, Sigma 18-250mm lens, Sigma 150-500mm lens, polarising filter, monopod, spare battery, spare memory cards.
Feedback
In a situation like a Safari, it's once in a lifetime for most so make sure you take as many photos as you can.
