These are snowy egrets. The Indians called them yellow slippers.

Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo at "Ding Darling Wildlife Sanctuary" in Sanibel Island, FL. I'm a self taught photographer.

Time

The time of day I took this photo was 8:30 am.

Lighting

The lighting was natural.

Equipment

This photo was shot on a Minolta Maxium 7000 Camera. With 35mm film. 200 speed. The lens was a Minolta telephoto 75mm-300mm. No tripod was used.

Inspiration

I love birds and these birds looked so peaceful sitting in this tree.

Editing

no.

In my camera bag

I now am shooting with a digital camera. In my bag I have my Canon SX210S digital camera. A soft cloth to clean my lens. A note pad and pen for taking notes of what I'm taking pictures of. And a tripod.

Feedback

The best time to take pictures is early morning and late in the day. If your camera has a beeping sound on it turn it off. So, you won't scare the wildlife. Use a telephoto lens and a tripod if you have one.
