HAHA, this is all about the time day. Sunset!Lighting
I was really afraid this one wasn't going to turn out because it was facing directly into the sun. I was fortunate that a huge dust storm was starting and created an awesome effect of colors across the sky dimming the sun to a manageable brightness.Equipment
A Canon EOS Rebel XT with a Canon EFS 55-250mm IS Lens and a Manfrotto tripod.Inspiration
This was purely an example of being in the right place at the right moment. I was just taking picture of the sunset with the desert in the foreground. I sat down to enjoy the end of the sunset and just happened this was view so I snapped a few pictures.Editing
I adjusted the contrast and shadows to give it more of a silhouette effect. In my camera bag
I carry two cameras. A Canon EOS Rebel XT for a back up and my main camera is a Canon EOS T3i. My lens include A Canon EFS 18-55mm IS Lens, Canon EFS 55-250mm IS Lens, Canon 100-300mm Lens and a Tamaron 2x tele-converter. Various filters and cleaning tools. Also a plug in remote and a IR remote for those shots I need absolute stillness. A large attachable flash and a Manfrotto tripod.Feedback
I am not a pro. All I can say is take your camera with you when you are doing something you love and the rest should come. Slow down and take the time absorb whats around you and pay attention. You may see something you would have missed other wise.
