Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken on my property in Texas. I had recently planted the Dianthus and was excited about the butterflies they were drawing in.

Time

I absolutely love this photo ! I am actually not 100% sure the time it was taken as I usually wander the property multiple times a day waiting for a great shot.

Lighting

This was taken outdoors in natural lighting.

Equipment

This photo was captured with my Canon xti and my favorite Tamron 18-200 mm lens.

Inspiration

I love taking pictures of beautiful things. Especially nature, its so pure and natural.

Editing

I did very minor processing as far as using a photo editor. When taking my photos I change settings quite often on the same shot to get that specific look I am going for. More natural and untouched.

In my camera bag

I always of course have my Canon xti body. The main two lenses I take everywhere are my Tamron 18-200 and my Opteka 500 mirror lens. Also in my go bag is a couple of UV filters, a few batteries and of course multiple compact cards !

Feedback

Patience is key. You will almost never get the exact perfect shot you want on the first try. You have to have a passion for photography! To me its about having fun and enjoying my time doing it. That's why I love photographing nature !
