Behind The Lens

Location

this photo was taken in my hie studio in Phnom Penh , Cambodia

Time

i took it on day time for a glass acessorie commercial shoot

Lighting

my concept was simple, get the model closer as much as possible to a vertical softbox (on high power) and overexpose, almost burn the picture. the main issue would be the shadow therefore the angle where you put the flash and you shoot the model

Equipment

that time i was using 5D II , 24/105 lens studio flash

Inspiration

from the style of the shoot i wanted to have some kind of 60 ies feeling, kind of Jackly Kennedy type of mood and posture.

Editing

of course after i almost burn the original picture i had to post process it , first with Lightroom and last touch photoshop.

In my camera bag

i usually bring around my canon 5D III everywhere with 3 or 4 lenses (16/35, 24/105 macro, 70/200 4,0, and 85mm 1,8)

Feedback

find yourself a nice model , a nice acessory, some softbox (it could be an umbrella, no need to go for the big vertical one) and be careful with the model and shooting angle because of the shadow treatment. have fun
