Location
I took this shot in a large corporate studio as a test for my portfolio. I worked for a major dept. store chain as a fashion photographer for 15 years. We were required to present a new portfolio twice a year. The situation presented the opportunity to work with some amazing talent and the best equipment on the market. The building itself was new and designed specifically for photography. Certainly my dream-come-true!Time

when I was shooting on location for K**** it took two photo assistants to deal with all the equipment I took. Now I'm retired and enjoy keeping it simple, with only a EOS 6D and two lenses, a 28-80mm and a vintage Nikor 50mm 1.4 which I reverse mount on my 6D (my favorite set up!).Feedback
My situation presented me with amazing opportunities to work with very talented models, hair stylists, and make-up artists who needed samples of their work too. In addition I had access to a world class photo studio with all the latest and greatest. My advice is to shoot as much and as often as you can so when opportunities present themselves you are prepared and motivated. Study lighting... it's our pigment.
