Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken at my place in LA with Hungarian model Gabriella Toth (www.fallinlust.com).

Time

It was probably around 9PM.

Lighting

The only lighting used was what was available in the bedroom, I believe it was two lamps on the nightstands on either side of the bed.

Equipment

I think for this shoot I used a Nikon D700 with 50mm f/1.2, it's been awhile since this shoot . . . no tripod or flash.

Inspiration

It's just always fun to hang out and shoot with Gabriella, each time she'd come to LA we'd meet up to catch up and do a shoot.

Editing

Again, it's been awhile, but I believe I was playing around with the Snapseed app. Normally I wouldn't do this much editing, but it was fun to mess around with the app.

In my camera bag

I typically use Nikon gear, although I like other brands as well. What I usually carry is one of the follow bodies: Nikon D700, D7000, D810. Lenses vary depending on what I have a available at the moment, I like the Nikkor 50mm f/1.2 when I have access to one. I always have a Nikkor 35mm f/1.8 and a 50mm f/1.8. Sometimes I bring an SB-600 Flash and usually just bounce it off a wall.

Feedback

I prefer good models that don't require retouching, so if you have the opportunity to work with models like that you should definitely seize the opportunity. This photo isn't really a good representation of what I usually post.
