Location
This photo was taken at Kuala Lumpur where Petronas twin tower is located. As a passionate and self taught photographer, for me every photo I take is special and I want to see some uniqueness to it, which in turn teaches me some lesson as well.Time
This is one of mine and some of my friends favourite photo too. While I took many shots earlier on the other side of this iconic building, though I was tired and hungry I wanted to cover the front view too. But I did not know how long the lightings will be available hence I rushed to capture this glimpse around 10 PM. Once I took this photo and reviewed, the result made me happy and even forget my tiredness and hunger. This photo was take on Saturday, 14th February, 2014 9.53.39PMLighting
Earlier i never seen this iconic building captured from this angle, so i thought that changing colours of the fountain in front would add mystic beauty to this building and its lighting with background of dark night. Hence i decided to compose this photo from low angle with wide angle lens.Equipment
This photo was shot on my Nikon baby D7100 with Sigma 10-20, f3.5mm lens and the long exposure was support by my tripod.Inspiration
That was on a weekend, where decided to take night photography to capture beautiful lights of this Twin Tower in Kuala Lumpur. I started off with my friend who have just migrated and has interest in photography. After taking dancing lights and other views of this building i waited to capture this beauty with black background hence waited for clouds to clear, as I walked in front to capture this view noticed the changing colours of the fountain in front and decided to shot from low angle covering the fountain which I thought will definitely add more beauty this view and took this photo.Editing
Well, it depends. Most often I will try to save my post processing time and so try my best to take direct from camera and do little post processing. In this case I did not do much post processing except some cropping, adding contrast and clarity only.In my camera bag
I have my Nikon D7100 (now Nikon D750) and generally I use Tamron 24-70 f2.8 it is bit heavy but i find it very good for sharpness and focusing. For landscape and architecture photography I use Sigma 10-20 f3.5 wide angle lens apart from that by default I will have a blower, micro fibre cloath, fully charged spare battery, ND filter, spare SD cards. Depending on my location and purpose i would take my other 2 lenses Nikon 50mm f1.8 lens, Tamron 70-200mm f2.8, flash, remote and tripod.Feedback
KLCC area where this Petronas twin tower located has some beautiful places around it, such as garden, mosque, children pool, banyan tree, water fountain, shopping mall and beautiful buildings. This place is suitable for photography any time of the day. Sunrise and sunset are key moments , however during day time it will be beautiful to take photos in the backdrop of blue skies and white patch of clouds, In the weekend evenings are right time capture this beautiful place where they have dancing water and colourful lightings.
