Behind The Lens

Location

The photo was take in the car park of Heaton hall, Heaton Park, Manchester. It was a typical Manchester and looked like rain. I'd been walking around the park for a few hours approching the hall where I wanted to capture some HDR shots of the hall. I felt the mood of the clouds looming over the building worked really well. I was packing up and heading home when I noticed a lone tree. Even though it was a Gray cloudy day you could still see the hills in the distance. Flecks of colour and life continuaouly moving bellow but from this lone trees point of view everything looked still.

Time

I remember it was around 4pm as I was heading home after a days shooting nature aim Heaton park

Lighting

The light for me is really even and it's all natural.

Equipment

I believe I was using one of the Sony alpha series, not the best camera on the market at the time but did the job.

Inspiration

I think it was just a perfect moment, in terms of inspiration I'd say maybe more observation

Editing

I honestly can't remember what process, maybe Lightroom. I tend to adjust the basics

In my camera bag

Right now I've a Sony A7 50mm 35mm 85mm 300mm

Feedback

Enjoy what you shoot, shoot what you're passionate about and become obsessed with it. Start by shooting everything you see even if friends and family tell you to "get that camera out of my face" don't give up and find inspiration everywhere. Shoot love! Shoot emotion and take the time to bring something out of the subjects you interact with.
