I read a journal entry of a photographer that witnessed something very magical. An elk had died. A herd of bison were nearby when a lone coyote came ambling in for an easy meal. The bison chased him off. They stood vigilant all day and some of the cows even layed down beside the fallen elk and treated him as one of their own. It was if they took a stance and proclaimed "not on our watch will you touch him" giving him a solemn wake to honor him.

Very nice work, it is moments like this that last a lifetime.

Good job with this masterpiece as it was hard to guess what it was at first . This scruffily fellow surely deserved the scratching to his fluffy wild face . You definitely connect with nature to be able to get such great shots . Nice textures ! .
