Behind The Lens
Location
On the dining room table in my kitchen, Bedfordshire, England.Time
Mid dayLighting
I used natural light as I shot next to a large window so the shadows became part of the art.Equipment
Nikon D40X with a Nikon 18-55 lens.Inspiration
I was simply helping my mum cook dinner and while measuring out the spaghetti I became inspired by the perfect shapes and fluidity that the pasta created. So as always I pulled out my camera to capture the moment.Editing
Yes I edited this shot with very basic software to increase the contrast. This maked the focus of the image bolder and washed out the background to a plain white. In my camera bag
Only my Nikon D40X camera as I don't have anything else!Feedback
The key to taking this type of abstract photo is to not have a set idea of your final aim but to allow the material and lighting to create the image naturally. This way the image becomes more fluid.
