This is one of my favourite image and I feel very proud of clicking this unique mountain. It was a beautiful, warm, clear Autumn day afternoon.Lighting
I think myself lucky for a clear sky with plenty of natural light.Equipment
This was shot with a Canon 60D, 18-135mm kit lens attached with a circular polariser on a tripodInspiration
Living in Switzerland and having read about this World's Most Photographed mountain I have dreamed many times for this shot. But a couple of times when we went there, it was cloudy so couldn't get the type of shot which I had in my mind. Reflection of Matterhorn in one of the lakes nearby the mountain was a shot I had dreamed about. Also my husband and my son stood behind me to get my dream shot helping me carry the Tripod, the equipment as we had to hike down a bit in some unpaved route with snow around.Editing
Almost no post-processing except for a bit of croppingIn my camera bag
My camera bag usually has a Canon body which recently has been upgraded to 5d Mark III from 60D. My all-time lens will be my Sigma 24-70mm,2.8 & Canon 50mm 1.8.Feedback
As I had this dream shot in my mind for a long time, I made many number of trips to Zermatt to get this shot. Think if we want to achieve what we have in our mind should be prepared for the adverse weather conditions & take some extra effort keep us motivated
