Location
This photo was taken in a pond located at Upper Gallilee, Israel. In a matter of fact, I didn't intentionally try to find that spot, I just spotted it in one of my whereabouts during my summer vecation from collage.Time
This is one of my older pictures, I shot 9 years ago. Still, one of my favorites. It was Saturday morning, I took my old Fuji camera and went for a short trip. I remember that at 11a.m. tempretures already raised to 28c, so I was really happy to find some cool water. I was about to go for jumping into the water when I spotted that rock with it's reflection and visuallized how might it look as a photographLighting
The surroundings were covered half circled with trees, so it wasnt too bright. The sun cast enough light to create that shadow, not too bright and not too dark. In the right angle, the object and its shadow formed that illusion of on round rockEquipment
I used a simple Fuji Pinfix camera. Back in 2006 my slr camera was stolen and there was a transition from film to digital. wanted to buy on of the dSLR cameras (cannon 450D was the most popular) so meanwhile I hanged with that small Fuji, although it had rather good performencesInspiration
Always think and look in more than one direction... this is one thing I have learnt from life. This, and water as the mirror of nature inspired me to explore and visualize objects different from their "daily postures"Editing
Although photoshop and alike can do magics, I prefer not to post process my photos. This photo is as is without processingIn my camera bag
I have just got my new camera backpack, so I have to move my equipment. I usually carry with me dSLR camera with 18-135mm lens, external flash, charger, dry cloth, set of macro filters, uv filter and a lens cleaner. I might get another zoom lens in the near future. I have in mind to be preperad for any present the time and the location may give...Feedback
with still objects, just walk around them and find the most interesting angle. Even when it is a flower or a rock, try to get down and look at it in a stright line or up
